So Who is the Evangelism Linebacker?

We've all heard about the Evangelism Linebacker and we've laughed with the videos, but who is this passionate Christ follower?

Derwin Gray is a man of great passion. For six seasons in the NFL he played with a contagious passion that led to two Pro Bowl nominations. For the last nine years, he has communicated the Gospel of Grace around America and abroad with an intense passion that is both contagious and inspiring. Dewey is a 2004 graduate of the Billy Graham Institute of Emerging Evangelists and a graduate (with honors) of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is being mentored by world-renowned theologian, philosopher, and apologist Norman L. Geisler.
Derwin Gray and his wife Vicki founded One Heart at a Time Ministries in September of 1999. The vision of the ministry is to see people transformed--one heart at a time--through the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ. Derwin is also on the Pastoral Leadership Team of theGathering, a young, vibrant multi-ethnic church plant in Charlotte, NC .

Dare 2 Share is Here!

Dare 2 Share is here! Our first event in the Washington D.C. area has arrived. Last night it was great connecting with old friends like the wild man Greg Stier and the surfer dude Zane (whose married now).

I love the content we are going to be sharing with the students: Ephesians 6:10-20! This weekend they will be equipped for Spiritual Warfare. Please pray for us to minister in and out of the power of the Holy Spirit so a generation of world changers can impact our nation and world!

Also, please pray for me as I review a contract offer to write a book. Thanks.

Gripped by His grace,
derwin

I just wanted to let you Dare 2 Share guys are awesome. I was at the conference in Denver this past weekend and had an experience I'll never forget! I had already been a christian and accepted christ into my heart. I've been into things that really have been damaging my soul and relationship with God, though. I really want to start changing that. At times I had almost given into cutting, but after seeing that drama y'all showed, I never even want to get close to even thinking about it. Dare 2 Share has changed my whole being. Thank you guys so much for giving me a piece of mind and God. I can't wait to see y'all at Blaze next year!

OMG!! is all I can say!! Dare to Share CO was amazing and so were you guys. (Ah, hope your reading..) Derwin you are hilarious. I was dying when you were like "homeboy blew it UP!!" when you were talking about your son and then you said " cause you were studying ALgebra". You're an amazing speaker and also have an amazing relationship with God!! You gave me a new perspective. I was already a christian but I refurbished my faith in Him. Thanks to you bringing Him and the new love I have for Him all of my doubts, that empty space in my heart that I thought was okay cause of the demons whispering in my ear telling me its suppose to be there is GONE!! Isn't that ah-mazing. Looking forward to seeing you next year at BLAZE and God Bless:)

I really appreciated your presentation at FCA in Atlanta (12/29/08).
I was wondering if you had ever thought about making a DVD of your presentations so that those who cannot attend might hear and see you. As you know, you can be especially effective with young athletes.

I laughed so hard when your "Me Linebacker" video was shown. I know it was a HUGE impact in my life. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to next year's Dare 2 Share! Boo-Yeah!
