God has placed some awesome people in my life. One of those awesome people is Greg Stier. You know . . . that crazy preacha dude from Dare 2 Share. In the past two years, Greg has not only become a ministry partner, but more importantly, he has become my friend. In Greg, I see humility and a passion to see teens know Jesus and make Jesus known.
This past week, the Dare 2 Share team was in Castle Rock, Colorado. For two days we worked over 12 hours a day getting ready for the up coming "Invincible Tour." I have never seen a group of people work as hard as the Dare 2 Share Team.
The "Invincible Tour" is going to be incredible! Have your students at this event. We are dealing with spiritual warfare (Eph. 6:10-20); the drama is heavy! I'm serious. The skits are so funny your face will hurt from laughing! Your students will get a huge dose of theology in a relevant and practical way. Check out the web site:http://www.dare2share.org/invincible
Until Next time,

So Who is the Evangelism Linebacker?
We've all heard about the Evangelism Linebacker and we've laughed with the videos, but who is this passionate Christ follower?
Derwin Gray is a man of great passion. For six seasons in the NFL he played with a contagious passion that led to two Pro Bowl nominations. For the last nine years, he has communicated the Gospel of Grace around America and abroad with an intense passion that is both contagious and inspiring. Dewey is a 2004 graduate of the Billy Graham Institute of Emerging Evangelists and a graduate (with honors) of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is being mentored by world-renowned theologian, philosopher, and apologist Norman L. Geisler.

The vision of the ministry is to see people transformed--one heart at a time--through the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ. Derwin is also on the Pastoral Leadership Team of theGathering, a young, vibrant multi-ethnic church plant in Charlotte, NC .

Great Conference, Great People!
I'm chillin at the Nashville airport; I must give "Big-Time Props" to the crew at Lifeway for the great job they did in organizing The Lifeway National Youth Workers Conference. Youth workers were inspired, encouraged, challenged, equipped, they connected with one another, and they were prayed for. It is an honor to help in developing student ministries that desire to see the Kingdom of Jesus root Itself deeply in their lives, and in the lives of the students they led.
Several cool things happened to me. After my breakout session, one youth leader asked what the youth workers could pray for me. It was really moving. I thank the youth workers for caring enough to lift me up to the throne of grace and mercy.
During my main stage session, I preached on how God is attracted to brokenness. The main theme was this: release your disappointments, pain, anger, hidden sins or whatever else brokenness to God so He can began the healing process. At the end of my message, I asked the youth workers to come up to the stage for prayer. Many came. It was awesome. I wish you were there to experience it.
And finally, I met a young man named Zach Hunter. He is 16. And his life's goal is to rid the world of slavery! The Gospel of Jesus has moved this young to be the change the world needs. It's was great hanging out with him and his mom. Zach has written two great books: Be The Change: Your Guide to Freeing Slaves and Changing the World and Generation Change: Roll Up Your Sleeves and Change The World.
I plan on reading these books with my children and introducing them to our student ministry. Check Zach out at http://www.lc2lc.org/
Well friends, it's about time for The Linebacker to get on a plane. Until next time, tackle as many people as you can with forgiveness, love, grace, humility, and compassion.

What An Adventure!
The past two weekends have been an adventure for the Linebacker. This weekend I was at the kaleo Conference in Wake Forest, North Carolina, teaching high school and college students. I met some incredible young people with great passion for Jesus and His Kingdom; I got to connect with some old friends like Clayton King and J.D. Greer.
Last weekend, I had the honor of preaching at the Chapel service for the Chicago Bears football team. Seven player and coaches received Jesus as God, Savior and Friend. What an adventure.
On Tuesday, I will be in Nashville teaching/preaching at the Lifeway National Youth Worker's Conference: http://www.lifeway.com/ev/events_detail_mainpage/0%2C2232%2CE%25253D185%252526M%25253D201001%2C00.html
Friends of the Linebacker, please pray for me. This is a huge opportunity to impact leaders who will in turn impact students. Later this week, I will be in Denver with Greg Steir and the crew preparing for the up coming Dare 2 Share tour:http://www.dare2share.org/invincible/
God is also doing some great things at the church where I am pastor preaching & discipleship.
What an awesome adventure!
