So Who is the Evangelism Linebacker?

We've all heard about the Evangelism Linebacker and we've laughed with the videos, but who is this passionate Christ follower?

Derwin Gray is a man of great passion. For six seasons in the NFL he played with a contagious passion that led to two Pro Bowl nominations. For the last nine years, he has communicated the Gospel of Grace around America and abroad with an intense passion that is both contagious and inspiring. Dewey is a 2004 graduate of the Billy Graham Institute of Emerging Evangelists and a graduate (with honors) of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is being mentored by world-renowned theologian, philosopher, and apologist Norman L. Geisler.
Derwin Gray and his wife Vicki founded One Heart at a Time Ministries in September of 1999. The vision of the ministry is to see people transformed--one heart at a time--through the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ. Derwin is also on the Pastoral Leadership Team of theGathering, a young, vibrant multi-ethnic church plant in Charlotte, NC .

The Linebacker Has A Book Coming Out This Fall

The Linebacker has a book hitting stores this Fall!  Get it . . . "Hitting stores."  

This fall, my first book, Hero: Unleashing God's Power in a Man's Heart, will be in stores. This book is a labor of love.  It is a labor of love to Jesus, the Church, and those who have yet to embrace Him as their God, Savior, and Friend.

I am humbled and honored that the Holy Spirit would grant me this great opportunity. Please, please, please pray for me.  Prayer is the foundation Jesus uses to build great things on.

I just heard you on Family Life today and i Had to smile about your naked teamate. He sounds like a very cool guy. It's great to hear people like you that have a passion for God. Im going to send your site to my daughter and her 2 young boys, she will love it and I pray you continue to be the hero for Jesus. I too know it's not easy but thru prayer and faith in God anything is possible. May God continue to bless you and your family thru out the years. Peace Love Dove.
